The Witness

My mind gets scattered, all kinds of emotions come up and catch me by surprise. I get overwelmed, and sometimes it feels as if it's all out of my control.  Even with all the inner work I do...
I'm happy, I'm sad, I'm angry, I'm overflowing with joy, I'm content, I'm fulfilled, I'm shy, I'm ecstatic, I judge, I love, I feel lack, I'm bored, I'm empowered, I'm uncomfortable, I'm inspired, I'm afraid, I'm centered, I'm grounded, I'm selfish, I'm hurt, I fantasize, I worry, I remember, I'm confused, I see clearly, I'm whole, I'm shadow, I'm light, I'm lost, I long for, I feel guilt, I'm shameful, I'm proud, I accept, I embrace, I swim in this sea and become one with it, I dance, I laugh, I cry, I sing, I pray...
I'm human!
I watch myself right in the middle of this everchanging dance.  I watch all of it you know?
I'm also unchanging... I'm the everchanging me inside the unchanging me!  Aren't we all? Or you can also say I'm the unchanging me inside the everchanging me... We are not separate and we will never be! The little self and the big self are one.
You will forget about me and that's ok.  Just open this door again my dear, and walk into me... drink this breath and "wash yourself of yourself". Again and again!
